We welcome
the New Year in with a New Moon in the highly organized sign of the Capricorn.
When the Moon is in the sign of the Sea-goat our ambitions are triggered and we
are in turn tested in many ways. It is important to maintain our sense of humor
as Capricorn’s ruler, Saturn demands we invest a great deal of energy and put sustained
effort into our dreams and aspirations. Saturn is the sovereign of organization
and represents the part of us that builds and manifests our ideals. He insists upon
better management of the world around us and that we become clear on our short
term goals thus insuring that we are able to feel the joy of accomplishment.

the brainiac ideas of edgy Mercury who are in close conjunction to the Lunar event.
In addition Jupiter arouses and enflames all of this with a jumbo serving of amplification
in an influential opposition. Meanwhile mighty Mars and outrageous Uranus
square the entire party. Speaking of party, this girl is staying home tonight. I
beg those of you going out to please be extra cautious and have a designated
driver if you plan to imbibe. With all of this cosmic commotion going on, there
is sure to be trouble in transit. This comes with a big helping of hot
unexpected eruptions and exaggerated misunderstandings. It may take until
January 2, for you to wake up and see what you have done. I am just here warning
you! You have free will so, make good choices!
When the
first week of this New Year is fading into the distance, you will wake up and realize
that you had been pushing too hard to have someone to kiss on New Year’s Eve. Now
you have a clear view as to whether they proved to be a prince or princess or a
frog. The proof is in the communication you have been engaged in with and the
clarity is thanks to transiting Mercury touching on retrograding Venus. If
there was ever a time to be a non-reactive witness, it is now. Do whatever it
takes to remain patient the rest of this month as the Goddess stays retrograde
until January 31. Sure, she becomes ignited by the Sun January 11, when he fans
the flames of wanting and attraction, but rather than jumping ahead on plans,
lay the strong boundaries down for your future and vow to stick to them.
Also on
January 11 shifty Mercury swiftly bounces into the sign of Aquarius. Ideas and
IQs all collect a small percentage increase in value. Thank goodness we can all
get back to work now that the shopping frenzy is diminishing! This positive
influence lasts until the end of the month, so please put it to good use!
Our Full Moon
this month is in the sensitive sign of Cancer. The crab triggers security
issues and begs that we focus on the true meaning of comfort. What have you
vowed to do to upkeep your property and even beyond this, your human-body-temple
in 2014? We are all being offered insight as to what really makes us happy and
what indeed is worthy of our focus now. Do some soul-searching and journal on

The Sun
floats into the airy realm of Aquarius January 19. Apollo, the Sun is far less
egocentric in this sign and turns attention toward humanitarian matters. Let us
join together in positive thought, letting go of a need to judge or manipulate
others. May we place a prayer of Peace on Earth and Good Will to all sentient
beings. When we truly focus our words and minds on the positive, we are able to
change ourselves and the planet for the better.
Each year I
choose a card with a word to focus on for the New Year. I chose the word
courage today. For me this is a reminder to trust and believe in myself. I wish

It is time to get active and engage in hot pursuit of
your goals. Your career is moving in the very positive direction you have been
craving for quite some time. This sets a positive theme for the year ahead.
Reach high with your strong earning power and your new very attractive
vibration of abundance. Be grateful. Love however is another story. Review all
of the relationships you are in and give special thanks for your body. Remember

Cancer June 22/23 to July 22/23
Infusing your present relationship with romance comes
