Astrological Gemstones: Fire Opals

Have you tried wearing gems and crystals to change your energy? A popular gem is the Fir Opal. This stone's power must not be underestimated! The fire and heat of this gem should not be taken lightly. This is seen in the flashes of colors within the stone.

Fire Opal can be very beneficial for sexual disorders, infertility, barrenness, sperm problems, sexual desire problems, and lower digestion—especially bowel issues. Eyes, constipation and gastric issues having to do with poor digestion and cold temperatures in the body can be helped.

Be careful if you tend towards heat issues! If this is the case I do not recommend this stone as it could aggravate and irritate the issue.

The Lunar New Year is upon us. Today's New Moon is at 4:41:51 EST in just less than an hour. This is the next event in a chain we have been experiencing throughout the recent eclipse cycle in Capricorn and the recent full conjunction of Pluto and Saturn in Capricorn.
The intense energy you are feeling is due to a stellium in Capricorn of Jupiter, Pluto, Saturn, Ceres, and our Moon, and Sun in Conjunction forming a stellium in Aquarius with Mercury.
I suggest quiet contemplation and meditation to reflect on the last year and particularly the last six months. 

Next, place focus on the coming year especially the next six months. Ask yourself what you really want deep within your heart. The time is now to really act as if! This is how you are going to make it happen.

Juno forms a tense with Saturn and Pluto during the lunar event. She is the Queen of Heaven in Astrology, a Great Mother Goddess who represents marriage, entitlement, conjugal issues and partnership particularly in in legal unions.

Are people hearing you correctly today? Partial Lunar Eclipse July 16 2019

I am beginning to wonder if anyone is really hearing correctly today. Likely this is a result of Mercury edging back into the sign of Cancer just after the Partial Lunar Eclipse occurring here on the East Coast USA at 5:38:05 p.m. coming up in minutes!

If your line of communication is damaged today or has been in the recent weeks leave it alone for a few days. After a rest period of 3 to 7 days if things have not gotten better—then it is time to move on! Trying to end things today is not going to work!

I have had numerous discussions with clients today who are miserable yet they cannot hear me telling them the situation is over. After telling them to leave it alone for a few days they then are aggravated that I have not told them what to do. 

It is really important that we understand we all have free will. Therefor, we cannot expect others to make our decisions for us.

The Partial Lunar Eclipse today is giving us an opportunity to really take charge of our own lives and to be responsible for our own decisions! Today is a day to worship our greatest teachers in the 

Far Eastern Traditions.

I urge you to look at your present relationships and realize that these are your greatest teachers. Relationships are classrooms filled with lessons

The moon is experiencing this eclipse in the sign of Capricorn while the Sun is in Luna's home sign of cancer. This is a really sensitive position and all communication with Mercury the Trickster in retrograde insists we take our time assimilating information. Be sure you are really listening and understanding what is being said to you before you assume or draw a conclusion.

Pluto, the South Node, and Saturn are conjunct in very close proximity to the Moon all in the sign of Capricorn. This is adding so much sensitivity to our feelings and reactions today. Tread lightly and if you are above it—be tough but compassionate! Some people are moving a lot slower and are further down the mountain. Take care to not kick rocks in their faces as you climb further or push them into a tumultuous sea of emotions!

I suggest taking time to meditate and relax today away from the temptation of communication. If things are already twisted then it is best to let them cool down for a few days before making an ultimatum.

In the Zodiac, I am a Scorpio, associated with the powers of thirteen through the Tarot card: Death. It doesn’t scare me so why would it scare you? The number thirteen represents letting go, generation and regeneration. These are good things in nature.

The Egyptians both honored and feared the number thirteen. They believed that there are twelve steps upon the ladder leading to eternal life, to take the thirteenth step meant going through death and embarking on the everlasting. Ancient cultures considered the thirteenth year the transition of a child into adulthood

The Romans decided thirteen was associated with bad luck and pernicious omens. Before the Roman=s freaked out about this number no one thought thirteen was questionable. The Christians followed the Roman’s ideas and developed the belief that thirteen was foul fortune and an especially bad number for a dinner party. 

The Maya had thirteen months each comprised of twenty days plus five rest days. These five rest days were set aside for fasting, clearing and avoiding work. These occur each year when the planet Venus is not visible as either morning or evening star and were considered unlucky. It is funny how thirteen became the bad number.

Thirteen began to get a bad rap in other cultures leading to modern times. Today we find no thirteenth room or floor in larger more public buildings. Back when I went to college for art, I lived in an old fifteen floor building. I happily had a room on the thirteenth floor—yes, we had one! I and my fellow thirteenth floor residents all shared a fondness for the fact that we were in one of the few buildings in Philadelphia which possessed a thirteenth floor. It was like Halloween every day on our hall

Friday is named for the Norse goddess Freyja; this is the fifth day of the week associated with the Venus cycle and her five orbital conjunctions with the Earth. The number 13 is also associated with Venus as this is the number of orbits around the sun that Venus makes during this cycle.

The western belief that this day is unlucky began in the 19th century, probably due to the story about the Knights Templar being hunted down and murdered on Friday 13, 1307 by the Roman Church. It is likely that this date was chosen by the Church to persecute the wisdom keepers of the Temple of Jerusalem due to the ancient association of Venus with harmonic coincidence

The Templars did cognate the orbital rose-like pattern that Venus forms in her graceful golden ratio cosmic drawings in orbit. This magickal ratio is a constant of nature. It has long been understood to have the acoustical effect of damping harmonic resonance. Friday 13th is thus became symbolic of an anti-harmonious day.

However, this damping action of the golden ratio is also the very thing that prevents over-resonance in nature and enables atoms to bond, planets to form, and amino acids to stick together into living organisms. Therefore we could just as easily consider Friday the 13th to be considered Coherence Day.

There are further stories of the ancient ones choosing not to work but rather to cavort and frolic, drinking wine, eating chocolate, and making love in celebration of the Goddess, rather than working. This was not good for taxation and was therefore labeled as bad luck—how silly.

Hunka a hunka burnin’ Leo in this New Moon!

Yes! This New Moon in Leo kicks it off for the upcoming eclipse cycle. We are feeling fiery due to so much of the Lion’s heat in the atmosphere! Leo is lover energy so where do you want to plug yours in? Think it over and get to manifesting. First we must be grateful for what we have.

Next, let go of that which does not serve us and the greater.

Then, we can let it go to the fiery power of the Sun and allow it to incinerate this into the fertile soil of our hopes and wishes. 

Next we plant the seed of desire.

Finally we sit in stillness and allow, fully receiving, deeply grateful.

Mars is conjunct the event adding more fuel to the fire. Do be careful with things that burn easily and around fire of all sorts. Let us focus positive energy on our Mother Earth and all sentient beings to cool and sooth this planetary heatwave so that we can put the alchemical fires to good use.

Scorpio Full Moon May 10, 2017 5:42:24 pm EDT

Full Moon in Scorpio can drag us under into a seemingly alternate universe where we can find ourselves in the realm of Pluto. You have choices to make. Can you burn off those last bits of what does not serve a higher purpose for all? Is it time to surrender and transform? Or, are you simply going to try to crumble after an exhausting fight?

Scorpio does not mess around. One of the superpowers of this sign is the ability to transform. Just when you think you might be getting ahead, another obstacle shows up that had not been in the picture moments ago. The lesson here is work with the energy and be a co-creator.

Scorpio is a shapeshifter which is perhaps why the sign is so misunderstood. The Scorpio energy is intensely creative and has the ability to help you with everything from inspiring your projects to fruition to removing everything that does not work, whether you can see it or not!

Look around and choose something to focus on, a project a relationship or a prayer. Now light a candle and burn some incense or smolder some herbs. Being a Scorpio I choose patchouli. This sign appreciates everything from earthy gums and resins like myrrh and frankincense to sweet floral high notes including Ylang Ylang and Jasmine and it is no wonder my vines are in full bloom now!
