The Lunar New Year is upon us. Today's New Moon is at 4:41:51 EST in just less than an hour. This is the next event in a chain we have been experiencing throughout the recent eclipse cycle in Capricorn and the recent full conjunction of Pluto and Saturn in Capricorn.
The intense energy you are feeling is due to a stellium in Capricorn of Jupiter, Pluto, Saturn, Ceres, and our Moon, and Sun in Conjunction forming a stellium in Aquarius with Mercury.
I suggest quiet contemplation and meditation to reflect on the last year and particularly the last six months. 

Next, place focus on the coming year especially the next six months. Ask yourself what you really want deep within your heart. The time is now to really act as if! This is how you are going to make it happen.

Juno forms a tense with Saturn and Pluto during the lunar event. She is the Queen of Heaven in Astrology, a Great Mother Goddess who represents marriage, entitlement, conjugal issues and partnership particularly in in legal unions.

Are people hearing you correctly today? Partial Lunar Eclipse July 16 2019

I am beginning to wonder if anyone is really hearing correctly today. Likely this is a result of Mercury edging back into the sign of Cancer just after the Partial Lunar Eclipse occurring here on the East Coast USA at 5:38:05 p.m. coming up in minutes!

If your line of communication is damaged today or has been in the recent weeks leave it alone for a few days. After a rest period of 3 to 7 days if things have not gotten better—then it is time to move on! Trying to end things today is not going to work!

I have had numerous discussions with clients today who are miserable yet they cannot hear me telling them the situation is over. After telling them to leave it alone for a few days they then are aggravated that I have not told them what to do. 

It is really important that we understand we all have free will. Therefor, we cannot expect others to make our decisions for us.

The Partial Lunar Eclipse today is giving us an opportunity to really take charge of our own lives and to be responsible for our own decisions! Today is a day to worship our greatest teachers in the 

Far Eastern Traditions.

I urge you to look at your present relationships and realize that these are your greatest teachers. Relationships are classrooms filled with lessons

The moon is experiencing this eclipse in the sign of Capricorn while the Sun is in Luna's home sign of cancer. This is a really sensitive position and all communication with Mercury the Trickster in retrograde insists we take our time assimilating information. Be sure you are really listening and understanding what is being said to you before you assume or draw a conclusion.

Pluto, the South Node, and Saturn are conjunct in very close proximity to the Moon all in the sign of Capricorn. This is adding so much sensitivity to our feelings and reactions today. Tread lightly and if you are above it—be tough but compassionate! Some people are moving a lot slower and are further down the mountain. Take care to not kick rocks in their faces as you climb further or push them into a tumultuous sea of emotions!

I suggest taking time to meditate and relax today away from the temptation of communication. If things are already twisted then it is best to let them cool down for a few days before making an ultimatum.

Full Mon in Scorpio

The Scorpio Full Moon occurred at 5:11 p.m. EDT May 18, 2019. It is the culmination I've where it began in Taurus a fortnight ago. The energy of a Taurian-Scorpion lunation places energy upon our values, what we accrue in behavior as well as mundane things. Have a look at the last two weeks and ask yourself what changes you have made and if there are patterns it is now time to let go of.

The 2nd house of Taurus faces the 8th House of Scorpio where things transform, decay and fall away creating fertile ground for the next steps. Reflect back to last October. What have you let go of? The Hunter's Moon October 24, 2018 12:45:04 p.m. EDT

Today's Full Moon at 1ᵒ Taurus with the Sun at 1ᵒ Scorpio conjunct retrograding Venus at 4ᵒ Scorpio. Nearby are Jupiter and Mercury also in the fixed sign of Scorpio.


Intense attraction is likely to spontaneously occur so keep your eyes open and ask yourself if you are making good choices. This combination can easily lure you in a questionable direction and given all of the fixed signs at play here downright stubborn!

When the moon is in the sign of the bull it is exalted. Uranus is conjunct Luna adding a burst of the unexpected. Keep your eyes wide and be ready for anything and by all means put this to good use!

The Sun has just slipped into Scorpio luring you into the depths of your dreams and psyche. Go ahead an do a bit of clean up. Spring is not the only time of year for this! Now is an ideal time for internal cleansing as well as a household purge.

This could be showing up in love and social matters depending on where it is transiting your natal chart. There is definitely magick afoot. Allow yourself some space with hard aspects from Neptune on the Lunar event also. Watch your cravings and curb your appetite! A friend asked me if Mercury is retrograde and the answer is no! The feeling of that sort of confusion is due to Mercury in opposition to Uranus as well as his close proximity to retrograding Venus. Total Eclipse of the Moon July 27, 2018

Celebrate the longest Total Eclipse of the Moon I have ever witnessed at 4:20:22 p.m. East Coast time today! Yes you read me right! Read on for all the details!

A Lunar Eclipse is caused by the Earth casting a shadow on the Full Moon as a result of it passing between the Sun and the Moon.

I would like to debunk statements that have been flying around the web the last few days due to today's Full Moon having a cosmic ton of hype associated with it.

1. False nonsense: The moon is going through an entire lunation cycle.

THE TRUTH: The Moon is Full during a Lunar eclipse. The fact is that it "appears to go through a cycle due to the progressive shadow being cast as a result of the Earth's shadow!

 The Moon remains full during a Lunar Eclipse!

2. False nonsense: This is the Blood Moon

THE TRUTH: Today's Eclipse produces a red colored Full Moon. The Blood Moon occurs in October. An easy way to remember this is think of pumpkins when you think of a reddish moon.

Many cultures give different names to the Full Moons. Different full moon names are found among the Celtic, Old English, and Native American cultures.

It is true that today's Total Lunar eclipse is to be the longest one of the 21st century measuring at one hour and 43 minutes, and yes it is happening during a Mercury retrograde that began yesterday on July 26. So why is this being called a Blood Moon?

This is due to the color the Moon will appear to have in areas where it is visible.

When our Full Moon is totally eclipsed; a reddish-brown color occurs.

When the Moon travels through the shadow during an eclipse—technically called the Earth's umbra which is the center portion of a shadow created— only a small portion of sunlight can reach the lunar surface through the Earth's atmosphere.

Due to this light waves become stretched out and create a reddish hue. This dark reddish hue looks similar to blood, and so we have the name!

Hunka a hunka burnin’ Leo in this New Moon!

Yes! This New Moon in Leo kicks it off for the upcoming eclipse cycle. We are feeling fiery due to so much of the Lion’s heat in the atmosphere! Leo is lover energy so where do you want to plug yours in? Think it over and get to manifesting. First we must be grateful for what we have.

Next, let go of that which does not serve us and the greater.

Then, we can let it go to the fiery power of the Sun and allow it to incinerate this into the fertile soil of our hopes and wishes. 

Next we plant the seed of desire.

Finally we sit in stillness and allow, fully receiving, deeply grateful.

Mars is conjunct the event adding more fuel to the fire. Do be careful with things that burn easily and around fire of all sorts. Let us focus positive energy on our Mother Earth and all sentient beings to cool and sooth this planetary heatwave so that we can put the alchemical fires to good use.

Catch the Lovers in the act!

A sky-dance is happening between the ancient lovers Venus and Mars with Diana, the Maiden aspect of the Moon looking on.

 If you have not been looking at Venus each and every evening then tonight is the night to begin! A few weeks ago they looked like this:

These bodies are close to us now and showing bright and big in the sky. This evening, when the sun goes down, step outside and look southwest slightly by west.  There you can see the crescent Moon approaching Venus and Mars.

 Tomorrow evening on January 31, 2017 we can see a beautiful sunset conjunction.

Try to catch them before the sky fades to black.  A conjunction of bright planets framed by twilight blue is especially lovely!

The ancient story goes like this:
Venus, a beautiful and attractive goddess was married to Vulcan the God of the Forge. He was married more to his work and was less than desirable lover.

He knew his wife often found her way into the arms of her viral lover, Mars, and so he decided to catch them in the act. Vulcan forged a net of gold chains and told Venus he was going on a trip to Lemnos.  He then hid in the rafters of their home and waited. As he anticipated, Venus summoned her lover to join her. Outraged, Vulcan called to the Gods on Mount Olympus to come and witness the infidelity. Vulcan then trapped the lovers in his golden net.

The female Goddesses refused to chastise Venus. The Gods, just gawked. mercury told Apollo that he would gladly change places with Mars. Later he would have the opportunity and the result would be the hermaphrodite. Finally at the insistence of Neptune, the chains of love were released.
Interesting fact: The astronomy of this story is playing out exactly right now and tomorrow evening!

Notice how on the Sky Map Neptune is so close!

A postscript from Ambika.

Last evening I took my own advice and after a sunset meditation, went outside to bask in the energy of these planets. Wanting to add another image I snapped on and though the Moon was a lovely crescent, my camera saw more of an orb. I chose this one as I am drawn to the unusual texture in Venus as well. Mars is there very fain and though Neptune is present, we are unable to see him.

It amazes me how the characters in this story are present in our evening sky!
